You really might want to know the best way to turn the clock back.

Benefits of Permanent makeup

You will save absolutely a lot of time. For women, it is a daily routine which spending 15 minutes every morning filling in your eyebrows. Some women simply find it a big struggle to draw their brows themselves and are not confident in their work. You will be relieved to know that microblading/microshading will allow you to skip that part of your morning routine and most importantly, have the confidence you deserve.

Want a dewy glow of a teenager or just like a fresh look every day? Here are ways on how to keep your look younger.

Thin and messy eyebrows

Waking up seeing your brows so thin and messy. You need to draw and fill in some eyebrow pencil on it every day. Making sure you will go out with bolder and darker brows. Like how it takes a lot of your time. As it gives attention to your eyes.

On the other hand, with microblading and microshading, everything is possible. You can achieve the perfect brows that blend on your appearance.

It will also give a big role by determining the right shape for your brows. There are six kinds of face shape that we should know. Choosing the right shape that compliments to your face will be a great.

  1. For oval face shape – softly angled brow
  2. For round face shape – an angled brow is perfect for this
  3. For long face shape – extend the tails of your brows
  4. For square face shape – don’t make your brows too angular
  5. For heart face shape – keep brows well-manicured and groomed.
  6. For diamond face shape – need more arch on the brows

Who will benefit from the eyebrow microblading/microshading?

Eyebrows are an important part of how your face looks. Not everyone is born with perfect eyebrows so that is why makeup was invented. Makeup is not the most convenient thing to use every day and in some cases very hard to use. Permanent makeup will allow an expert artist to shape it to your features and bring out the best in you. The following cases benefit the most from microblading.

  1. If you have no eyebrows or thin eyebrows.
  2. If your eyebrows are sparse or over-plucked.
  3. If fair/blond eyebrows and find that pencil wears off quickly.
  4. If you suffer from sensitive skin or allergies.
  5. If you suffer or have suffered from alopecia.
  6. If you have undergone chemotherapy.

Give your lips a fuller and plumper look

Lip augmentation or lip enhancement can give you a boost in both self-esteem and self-confidence. The end result should be a balance within the face, allowing your eyes, cheeks, nose and lips to become harmonious. Augmenting the lips so they appear fuller and more luscious creates a healthier appearance and sensual appeal. This improved appearance can have a big effect on how you feel about yourself.

What is done before and during the procedure?

First of all, avoid all platelet inhibitors such as aspirin, alcohol and NSAID’s (and anything that contains those ingredients) for 7-10 days before your procedure. Also, eat pineapple during this time period. Make sure that your injector is very experienced in lip augmentation, and ask them to inject very slowly since the faster the injection, the more it hurts and the more chance of bruising. After the injections, do not “use” your lips for anything except eating…..and use ice packs at least 20 minutes per hour until the swelling goes down. Remember to sleep with your head elevated so that there is less chance of swelling in your lips overnight.

Have it wide and make it look lush

Cosmetic makeup is advantageous not only for those who wish to save time applying it but also for those with allergies or sensitive skin who may not otherwise be able to wear eyeliner. It may also help those women who have visual impairment who may not able to apply to make up daily.

The art of tattooing and permanent makeup have been practised for centuries all around the world. For many people, it drastically improves the quality of life by reducing the time needed for preparation before leaving the house and also from cleaning up after returning home at night. Many people who do not have the skills to draw in eyebrows or eyeliner can now be worry free. Be on the look! And walk every day with the youthfulness in you.

Is Microblading recommended with dark skin tone?

The previous salon where I inquire decline me to have my brows Microbladed. I was told I can’t have mine done.

Everyone is welcome to have this treatment done. May it be light skin tone or dark depending on their need threshold. Women with darker skin tend to have an oilier skin that causes blurry out hair-like stroke. In other words, pigment implanted in the brows area will not stay longer. Expert enhances the pigment by adding vitamin C as a color brightener in order to hold the pigment to lighten gradually. In this line, technology is improving to meet the needs of the client for precision. Women with dark skin tone must be very careful enough in choosing the perfect place for their Microblading procedure. Not all specialist can perform this treatment on non-caucasian skin. Rarely of contrast between the dark skin tones and pigments that was being used, so the aestheticians may not used on work across the skin tones won’t be able to deliver realistic results.

Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow tattooing procedure that is helping folks like me get their entire lives in order.

There is no difference in microblading for dark skin, fair skin or medium skin. In each category there are different skin types, undertones and thickness. The only difference is in the healed results.

Aftercare is extremely important! And you should remember that microblading is a team effort between you and your technician. Make sure you follow all the instructions and use only the product you were provided by your artist. Do not google. There is no one right way in the aftercare and it different depends on the place you choose. You’ll be provided with aftercare kit right after procedure, aftercare will be explained in detail and you’ll have a copy of the instructions to take home.

In permanent make up, skin types can be a factor in choosing which technique best suits each client. Having oily skin is a bit challenging with Microblading because it tends to push-out the ink when applied. For clients who has this type of skin, we recommend the Microshading technique.

Yes! Microblading works on all skin tones and colors. Dark skin will look powdery and you would see less hair details than in light complexion. Both techniques can be applied for this.

Will the procedure be 100% satisfaction guaranteed?

We want our clients to be completely satisfied with the results of their permanent makeup procedures. Therefore, we spend a quality amount of time throughout the whole process of our service to ensure that our clients are happy with the results. We also encourage clients to come in for a follow-up visit 6-8 weeks after the initial treatment.

Our brows are not identical but with the help of microblading procedure uneven brows may be corrected. Its normal for the first procedure to appear mismatched. It may look like your brows are coming completely off, but don’t let it freak you out because some of it is normal. It takes time for your brows to settle. You may experience patchy and may have uneven areas.

Immediately after the procedure, it will look natural but will darken up while healing. Eventually they will lighten up when fully heal. Every hair stroke is hand drawn by the professional to mimic natural hair strands to achieve a less made-up look.

The art of tattooing and permanent makeup have been practiced for centuries all around the world. All the pigments that we use are cosmetic-grade, which means that they are sterilized and purified for cosmetic use. The ingredients used in the ink are also approved by the FDA for cosmetic applications. The brand that we use also meets EU guidelines for cosmetics.

Be careful with artists using low-quality brands or counterfeit products which have not met stringent safety standards. It is the technician’s responsibility to ensure proper sanitation and prevent possible infection. Clients should advise their service provider if they plan to undergo laser treatment, Botox, dermabrasion, peels, etc. MRIs do not present a problem with the type of ink we use, but it is always good to inform your service provider if you have concerns.

Individuals should not make their choices lightly. We always recommend clients do their research, understand the procedure and compare different artists’ work and portfolio when making their decisions. Our brow technicians will do their utmost to shape and style the eyebrows to the clients satisfaction prior to the procedure. Every effort will be made to achieve an even appearance, but please realize our faces are never perfectly symmetrical. Uneven appearance can be fixed during the touch up session. Pigment discoloration and color correction can also be fixed during the the touch up session. Microbladed brows will eventually fade away if no additional touch ups are done.

Awareness after the procedure and aftercare instructions

Touch up visits should be scheduled between 30-45 days post procedure. All permanent make up procedures are a two-step process. Results are not determined until touch up application is completed. Failure to follow these instructions may result in pigment color loss and longevity.

Things to know
Keep in mind that semi-permanent make up makes superficial cuts into skin which may cause some scabbing. We recommend that you do not touch your brows or peel the scabs. Allow the scabs to naturally fall. Do not touch the healing pigmented area with your fingers, they may have bacteria on them and create an infection.

We highly recommend
Use the dry healing method for the first 5 days following the procedure to optimize the results of color retention and longevity. After the 5th day, if you feel the area is too dry or there is too much scabbing, gently use a clean q-tip to apply a thin layer of ointment to the area to keep saturated and moisturized. Apply your favorite antibiotic ointment or Vaseline 3-5 times daily until the procedure area has healed. Always use a clean cotton swab and not your fingertip, wash your hands before applying ointment. We suggest Vaseline, as it s non-reactive.

Showering / Bathing
Before bathing, gently apply a light coating of Vaseline on the procedure area using a clean cotton swab. Continue this regime until the procedure area has completely healed.

Activities
No water, sweating, make up, tinting or lashes or brows, sun, soap, sauna, Jacuzzi, swimming in chlorine pools or in the recreational bodies of water, contact with animals, gardening for 7-10 days, (until area is completely healed) post procedure and after all touch ups.

While healing
Do not rub or traumatize the procedure area while it is healing (pigment may be removed along with crusting tissue). try to sleep on a satin pillowcase while the procedure area is healing.

When healed
Gently apply broad spectrum facial sunscreen to the treated area has healed to prevent future fading of pigment color. Do not get peels or use products that contain AHA’s on the procedure area. (Exmple: Glycolic, Lactic acids). Always check your product labeling. Because it will fade your pigment color. If you are a blood donor, you may not give blood for 1 year following your Permanent Make up application (as per Red Cross). We suggest a yearly “color refresher” to maintain your procedure color integrity.

Can I wear make up after the procedure?

No. You ought not to apply any make-up on the eyebrow area if you have gone through microblading/microshading procedure. Right after the procedure, the outer layer of the skin is open and as days go by scabbing of the skin appears. We have to patiently wait for 10-14 days for the wound to totally heal. The Microbladed area is an open wound, using makeup may cause infections.

Can I do exercise after the procedure?

Normally, it takes between 7-14 days for the skin to heal from the initial procedure. While healing, avoid heavy sweating or activities like swimming or running. Exercise expands the pores and produces sweat that may affect the healing process. Also damp conditions also attract dirt and contaminants.

If you experience any itching, swelling, blistering or any other complications post-procedure, stop using product and call your technician immediately. You may be allergic to the after care product you are using. If you have the excessive redness, swelling or tenderness or any red streaks going from the procedure, elevated temperature, or purulent drainage from the procedure site, contact your physician as the area may be infected and you may need to seek medical care.

Preparations during the Microblading/Microshading procedure

Eyebrows serve the wonderful function of keeping unwanted sweat, dust and debris out of your eyes. They act as a barrier that prevents bacteria like sweat from rolling down your forehead and into your sockets. Eyebrows also play an important role in facial recognition and in communication. Downcast brows immediately communicate an individual’s displeasure, while arched and heightened brows may convey amazement, curiosity and pleasure.

Do you have clients who draw their own shape for the microblading?

No we don’t, we have to draw it. Client can’t draw their own because:
1. Pencil we use is safe to perform the blading/shading over, it won’t get infected even if it gets into the the open wound.
2. We have certain way to draw the shape for the artist to follow when it comes to balding/shading part. The drawing can’t be like their regular make-up look.
3. The artist gets to know what client wants while shaping/drawing.

Can i bring photos to show to the artist as how i like to draw them?

Client is encouraged to bring photos of their liking permanent make-up work or eyebrows style, even picture of themselves with eyebrows make-up. Also they should wear their regular make-up to their appointment so we can make the shape to fit their styles.

The process can be time consuming because it is important to map out and pencil in your eyebrows  with your technician prior to penning in your semi-permanent eyebrows. Be patient and take as much time as you need for this part of the treatment. You will be the one sporting these eyebrows, so you want to ensure you absolutely love the look of them. The aim of the procedure is to beautifully compliment your facial expressions, and highlight your structure and features. Before beginning the blading process, examine your face in the mirror from multiple angles. Have your technician take a photo of you from head-on and from the side so you can fully see what your eyebrows will look like.

The microblading procedure is a bit of a commitment with the two-step, multiple hour procedure, but in comparison to the daily chore of penciling in your eyebrows, it is an engagement worth investing in, with significantly less maintenance than that of pencil or powder.

Why touch up is recommended

Is the initial session not enough?

The touch up session is recommended but not necessary. Some clients are satisfied with their brows after just the first session and prefer not to do the first touch-up but come back annually to maintain the shape and color of their brows. However, touch ups are recommended if clients have stubborn skin and are unable to properly follow the aftercare instructions.

The second stage of the treatment is a TOUCH-UP appointment. The touch up that takes approximately 1 hour and is included in your service. Touch ups are done no earlier than 5 weeks of your initial procedure and no later than 10 weeks. It is imperative you complete the touch up treatment. Without it, the results will not be optimal. Colour will fade significantly within 4 weeks as the skin heals, peels and fades. The touch up corrects any irregularities in the microbladed hair strokes, color tones and finishes the process.

Why touch up is important?

After a month and a half, the skin will have completely healed from the Microblading. This means another layer of skin has become over the eyebrow embroidery pigment, so it will turn out to be somewhere in the area of 30% to 70% lighter. Many individuals leave their first Microblading appointment worried that their eyebrows are too dark; however, when their skin has healed the color should be flawless, or perhaps too light.

In some cases, the body thoroughly assimilates the ink, and the semi-permanent tattoo absolutely vanishes. In different cases, due to an assortment of factors, including body chemistry, treatment, or sun exposure, the pigment embroidery may even change color.

The touch-up is an opportunity for the Microblading professional to settle any of the progressions that may have happened. Also, before you ask, yes, even changed ink color can be rectified! It’s also an opportunity for your permanent makeup artist to roll out any little corrections or changes to the shape.

Reasons why Microblading might not take and prevent you from the service

What your experiencing is the normal part of the healing process. Remember that some loss of pigment is a normal part of healing process. You should expect about 85% pigment retention before your touch up (about 6 weeks after the initial procedure).

Your artist didn’t go deep enough. If it’s been more than 2 weeks and your pigment is gone, then it is most likely NOT normal and related to some other cause. In this case it may be that your artist did not go deep enough in order to get lasting results. Artist must go into the dermal epidermal junction.  You might have an infection. Other factors can interfere with the normal healing process and one of those things is an infection. An infection of the skin will push out the pigment and may result in scarring or other problems. Your artist used the wrong color for your skin tone.
You didn’t follow the aftercare instructions.

You we’re picking your scabs or interfering with the healing process. If you have a tendency to pick at your skin then this one is extremely important. If you are using the dry healing process then it’s absolutely critical that you do NOT pick your scabs. Picking off your scabs will prematurely pull the pigment out. Scabbing is simply a normal part of the healing process. Microblading requires me (and other artists) to make a small cut into the skin to the level of the dermal epidermal junction. This is the perfect place to set the pigment for lasting results, but also not deep enough to cause scarring or a permanent tattoo.

You have oily skin. Some people naturally produce more oils than others, but what’s important here is that the oil may push out your pigment making your retention less than desirable. If you have really oily skin make sure to discuss that with your artist so you can determine if it’s worth undergoing the procedure. In most cases you can deal with the excess oil production and it won’t interfere with your results.
